Fujisato Wooden Station
It is a system that revitalizes both people and forests.
This project aims to generate income by collecting unused timber from municipal and privately owned forests in the town, in lengths that can be loaded onto a light truck, and selling it to a wood chip factory, thereby enabling more people to get involved in forest work.
The collected timber will be paid in the form of gift certificates that can be used at businesses within Fujisato town, so this project is expected to revitalize the local area as well as improve the forest environment.
The Tree Station project will proceed as follows:
Fujisato Tree Station Shipping Registered Person
・Those who wish to ship must register in advance with the Fujisato Town Forestry Promotion Council (registration accepted at any time).
The shipper is a resident of Fujisato Town. The timber collected is limited to cedar trees from the town's forests.
- In principle, shippers must be individuals, and registration is required even in cases of group shipments.
- Shipping quantities are self-declared based on the shipper's own standards, and are therefore left to the shipper's creditworthiness.
・Collected lumber will be settled at the end of each month. The purchase price is 5,000 yen/m³.
*One light truck will cover approximately 0.4m³.
Provisional Promises
- Made of sturdy wood (excluding rotten wood, etc.)
- Length is 90cm or 1.8m, and the diameter of the end (thinner end) is 8cm or more (excluding the bark).
- Branches have been removed so that there are no horns or leaves.
Shipping promise
- Place and line up the sleepers in the designated area of the yard (where your name is written).
- Measure with a tape measure and mark the diameter at the end (the thinner end) in 2cm increments with chalk.
・Fill in the number of pieces for each length and diameter on the specified form and submit it.
- If someone other than the mountain owner is shipping the product, a consent letter from the mountain owner must be submitted.
*The yard is located within the Shimizudai Satoyama Forest Experience and Exchange Facility grounds.
Promise to use gift certificates
・Product vouchers can only be used at the store where they are registered.
・The expiration date is printed on the ticket, so it cannot be used after the expiration date.
・Stores where the gift vouchers can be used will be required to display posters indicating they are Kinoeki participating stores.
Equipment rental
・We have the necessary equipment for collecting unused materials (lifting vehicles, portable winches) available (charges apply).
